Two Days, Two Joss: Comic-Con 2008 Blog Entry

Joss not singing at the Dr. Horrible panel was followed by Joss still not singing at the Dollhouse panel. There he appeared with Eliza Dushku and Tahmoh Penikett. Dollhouse looks intriguing, about the loss of memory and the search for souls, but without vampires, demons or spaceships. However, glass-covered coffin-like cryo-units are definitely involved.

Tahmoh Penikett made an impromptu appearance at the Battlestar Galactica panel that followed immediately, which was hosted by Kevin Smith at his colorful best, who pointedly ignored the little warnings on the backs of the celebs' name cards, to please be aware that some members of the audience are below the age of 18. Kevin ignored this, of course. He wouldn't be Kevin Smith otherwise.

The BSG panel included Jamie Bamber, Michael Trucco, Katee Sackhoff, Tricia Helfer, James Callis, Ron Moore and David Eick. Both producers were steadfast in not offering any hints of the remaining half season, or of the identity of the Fifth Cylon. They did, however, show the trailer of Caprica, which looks to be really good and cool.

Yesterday, there were one-on-ones conducted with Amanda Tapping about her new show Sanctuary on SciFi, to be followed by more standing in line whilst waiting for the late night screening of Dr. Horrible. Joss and his brothers attended that screening, sneaking in sereptitiously and sitting amongst the audience in the last few rows. Here's hoping they'll sneak in to the "Once More With Feeling" screening, too.
