Christian Kane (Lindsay, Angel) www.myspace.com/christiankane took time from his busy schedule to answer a few questions. If you have been reading my blogs, you will know that I am a music fan and that Christian Kane is my favorite subject. You will also know how busy this talented man is, with his new CD completed, he has been on the road promoting his music. He also continues his acting career with his upcoming role in “Leverage” a new series on TNT. A sneak peak of Christian in his new role can be seen at www.tnt.tv.

  • 6/12/2008 - RECOUNT, A Review

    by Josh Rubinstein

Opening with a montage of the infamous "hanging chad" ballots that began one of the most heated election controversies in American history, Recount launches the viewer into the thick of the legal and political battle over Florida; the central issue of the Bush/Gore election of 2000. While attempting to show an even-handed perspective on both sides of the political spectrum, any viewer, conservative or liberal, will be hard pressed not to have their own hackles raised.

    by Patti Hutchens

Do you have a favorite webseries? I have been following the episodes, so far 16 in all, of “Lost Angeles”. It stars James Leary (Clem, BtVS) and is produced by Blue Chalk Productions www.lostangeles.tv and of course can be seen on Youtube. James plays a 30 something New Yorker who moved to Los Angeles after a breakup. <

  • 4/14/2007 - The Music of Battlestar Galactica Concert Review

    by Brian Rubin

One of the perks of living in Los Angeles is that a lot of fandom-centric events happen here, such as conventions, signings, concerts and more. One of these awesome events was the recent Music of Battlestar Galactica (BSG) concert that took place last night at the Roxy in West Hollywood. While BSG is one of my favorite shows, the music is one of my favorite elements of it. Not since Greg Edmonson's score for Firefly had I been so gripped by the music on a television show, so I was quite excited to see this music performed live by the man who wrote it all, composer and conductor Bear McCreary.

  • 4/12/2008 - James Marsters Q&A at Grand Slam

It is a HOT day in Burbank, California, 95 degrees outside but for BtVS fans it is hotter indoors at Creation Entertainment’s Grand Slam. After a wait of what felt like forever and a day, the final season of the much-beloved Battlestar Galactica has finally arrived. Was it worth the wait? Does it rise above the malaise that comprised much of the last season (at least in this writer's opinion?). Let's find out…

  • 4/4/2008 - Supernatural Convention Coverage

    by Brian Rubin

Ah, conventions. There are few experiences quite like going to a good convention, whether it's a general convention such as Comic-Con or a specific convention, like this weekend's Creation Entertainment's Salute to Supernatural. Now Supernatural is my favorite show on television right now (and one of my favorites ever), so I was very excited to attend this event, which was my first Supernatural convention, as well. Here's a run-down of my experiences over the past weekend...

  • 4/4/2008 - Catching Up With Camden

    by Patti Hutchens

Camden Toy is famous in the world of Joss Whedon for the many characters he has portrayed. He played one of the lead Gentlemen in the episode “Hush” in season four of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Camden returned to Buffy to play “Gnarl” in season seven’s episode “Same Place, Same Time”. Gnarl was a skin-eating demon and Camden did his own stunts and wire work. Later in that same season, Camden played the Ubervamp or Turok-Han, which was a recurring role. He also played “The Prince of Lies”, a geriatric vampire in the submarine episode of season five of Angel.

  • 3/30/2008 - Cut! 2008 Slither Panel Coverage

    by Brian Rubin

Being a journalist and covering what you're passionate about is just awesome! Today was a perfect example of that awesomeness becoming reality, because on the way down to the Supernatural convention near LAX (coverage of which will be up shortly), our fearless leader gave us a call and asked us if we could cover the Slither panel at the Cut! 2008 film appreciation weekend. Having reported the event in our News Bytes, I knew Nathan Fillion, James Gunn and Gregg Henry would be there, so after arranging for someone else to cover the parts of the Supernatural con that we'd miss, we said we'd take it.
