Felicia Day, who has slayed vampires, been the love interest of a super-villain and made gamers funny, has a new role....werewolf hunter.

Jewel Staite, who plays Kaylee on Firefly and Serenity,  will be part of the Sacramento Sci-Fi Horror Convention at the Scottish Rite Center on September 25th and 26th. She'll join a long list of guests that will include Kevin Sorbo of Hercules and Andromeda, and Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian from the Star Wars series), who will appear on yhe 25th.

Even though it's been more than ten years since Mystery Science Theater 3000 left the airwaves, the spirit of riffing on bad movies has continued thanks to Rifftrax, led by former members Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy (Tom Servo) and Bill Corbett (Crow).

Aside from selling riffs on the newest movies, DVDs and even shorts on its website, it's had two live events shown at local theaters. On August 19th, Rifftrax takes on the anti-drug cult classic, Reefer Madness.

My Thursday was spent camping out in Hall H to see what the movie studios had in store for us.  Oh, some guy named Joss was there too.

Instead of a new episode this week, The Guild presented a new music video that delighted fans who attended the panel at Comic-Con last weekend. It's one big Bollywood production, and could top last year's "Date My Avatar" video.

I was just sent breaking news that renowned composer Bear McCreary -- who composed excellent music for shows like Battlestar Galactica, Eureka and The Sarah Connor Chronicles -- will now be composing the music for AMC's upcoming series, The Walking Dead. We'll bring you more news as we have it.
