SDCC 2012: Happy Anniversary, Firefly

Will fans of the Twilight movies still love those films as fervently ten years from now? We bet they won’t be as dedicated as the army of Browncoats Firefly, that slept on the streets outside Ballroom 20 to make sure they had a spot for a panel commemorating the 10th anniversary of the show. Joss Whedon was there, along with much of the cast.

Firefly’ Crew, Flying High Ten Years Later (Hollywood Reporter)

Isn’t it grand that mainstrean media is now talking/talking/talking/talking about Joss and his talent? All it took was the success of The Avengers, where he was left alone to craft his vision.

SDCC 2011: Firefly Panel At Nerd HQ

A restaurant on 4th Avenue in San Diego has become the Nerd Machine’s Nerd HQ, an effort by Chuck‘s Zachary Levi to raise money for Operation Smile, which  kids with facial deformities around the world.

This includes a chance for Comic-Con attendees to talk to their favorite stars for 20 dollars. The first panel feature Firefly’s Adam Baldwin, Jewel Staite and Alan Tudyk.

 

Creation Entertainment Salutes Firefly/Serenity 2009- Adam Baldwin Q&A

Once Yan and Rafael Feldman left the stage following their Q&A, it was time for another music video. As the video ended, Adam Baldwin was introduced and greeted the cheering crowd. He welcomed everyone to follow him on Twitter and asked where everyone was from. The crowd yelled out different cities and countries, there were more than a few from overseas. Adam stated that his life is good, that he is working on “Chuck” and that the studio has ordered 6 more episodes. Also gave a shout out to Zachary Levi, saying how talented he is including the fact that Zachary directed episode #9. Adam referred to Zachary as their “Nathan” and that the show is on his shoulders. Chuck will be back on air on Sunday, January 10th, then back on Mondays.
