Lying! Manipulation! Fights! Betrayal! Secret Monk Blood Rituals! This week’s Gotham has it all! “The Son of Gotham” finally put many long plotted storylines into motion and changed things up (either for the worse or the better).
This week’s episode of Gotham finally brought the fire, pun intended. After last week’s lackluster episode, my expectations for Gotham were at an all-time low, which is why perhaps, this episode, “By Fire,” really worked for me. It was exciting, evenly-paced and featured some great developments!
The Joker is gone, Theo Gavalan’s (James Frain) plans were revealed, and Jim (Ben McKenzie) seemed to be doing OK. This week, the pace slows and falters a bit. I want Gotham to keep up the momentum, but it seems they are losing steam.
It’s the third episode of Gotham’s Second Season and it’s showing no signs of slowing down!
The Gotham show creators weren’t just joking around when they said that Season 2 was going to hit the ground running! It’s only the second episode of the season and we already have the death of a major character. Plus, lots of villains, insanity, chaos, and cheerleaders getting blown up on a bus!
This week, Gotham really ups the ante with some shocking developments near the end of the episode.
This week we see several characters that are familiar to the Batman-verse. But, besides all the character introductions/tie-ins/appearances, the story this week was a fun and engaging one.
Last week, Gotham ramped up the action by finally paying off some of the long standing plot lines, but the fallout turns predictably bland.
Gotham is back and picking up steam!
This week on Gotham there is a killer at Arkham Asylum and we meet a new character, played by the lovely Morena Baccarin.
